Summary
Part 3. The last part of the book. Rosemary wakes up to find Guy sitting by her side. They smiled. She asked him what the baby was, he said a boy. She asked him if he was alright and he said, with a long pause, "yes". And with that, she drifted back to sleep. Later, she woke up, and remembered more. Laura-Louise was by her side and Rosemary asked her where the baby was. Laura-Louise, unsure of what to say, called Guy and Dr. Sapirstein. She asked them where the baby was and thet gave her the answer, the baby's dead. When she asked why they told her it was because it was in the wrong position, but Rosemary knew better and told them that they were lying and that they took it. She started going crazy and yelling, with that Dr. Sapirstein gave her an injection. After they gave her her soup, she confronted Guy about Dominick and the tickets that he supposebly gave them. She asked him if he was a witch and he said that she was worrying too much and that there's no such thing as a witch. Then she remembered what she read about witches. The book said that before you become a member they out a mark on your shoulder. Then she remembered again how Guy didn't take off his shirt for a look time infront of her. So, just as Guy was about to leave she asked him to take off his shirt. So he did, and there was nothing there so she let the subject go. Because her breast were filled with milk, she had to get rid of it, Dr. Sapirstein showed her how to use the pump. After a few days she started recieving gifts. The next few weeks were normal, she ate, she drank, and took the pills that were given to her. One morning, after 2-3 weeks had passes by, she thought she heard a baby crying and confronted Florence about it, the person who came to get the milk, but she couldn't hear anything. Guy came up with a story that some new people moved in and it was thier baby. From then on she kept hearing it over and over, and she realized that it was right next door. Rosemary began to notice a pattern. The crying started, they came for more milk, after they left the crying stopped. She decided to ask what they did with the milk and Laura-Louise said that they threw it away. Rosemary didn't believe her, so she decided to put a dirty spoon into the milk, Laura-Louise stopped her and when Rosemary asked why she couldn't put the spoon in the cup Laura-Louise said that it was too messy. Rosemary has figured it out! The baby is still alive and it was in Minnie and Romans apartment. She was determined to get it, no matter what. She started thinking about everything and she knew that their had too be another way to get to Minnie and Romans apartment. It was the closet, the one she had seen in her dream; only it wasn't a dream, they had really took her through there. She also found out that the pills were the ones that were making her feel weak. She started planning, planning a plan to get Andy back, even if it meant killing them all. Part of her plan was to put 8 of those pills into Laura-Louise or Helen Wees' cup, that would send them off to sleep. She kept pretending that she was still weak, and when the apartment was clear she started her plan. Sure enough the pills made Leah, another one of the people who were taking care of her, fall asleep. Rosemary took the sharpest knife they had and made her way to the closet. It was the closet after all! She opened the door, and went into Minnie and Roman's. As she was walking down their hallway she saw all the paintings she had seen in her dream, including the burning church. She made her way to the living room and peaked in. There was everyone, including Minnie and Roman, she couldn't believe that they were back already; she began to doubt that they were ever away. Looking ahead she saw a black bassinet, her baby was in there. She walked into the living room, but they didn't notice her. A little while they noticed her. She walked to the bassinet, Roman tried to get her attention but she didn't pay him any mind. As she walked closer, she gribbed her knife tighter and looking at the other people in the room. Rosemary looked at her sweet baby, but something was wrong. It was his eyes, he had golden-yellow eyes, scary eyes. They said that he had his father's eyes, but Guy's eyes were brown. Roman told her that Satan was his father. Then they started saying "Hail Adrian, Hail Satan", and Adrian was to be his name. Rosemary couldn't believe it, she couldn't take it anymore, so she sat down and the men went to check for Leah. Rosemary knew that her baby was ganna grow up to be bad. She knew that the only answer was to kill the baby, she just couldn't let him grow up to be bad. But as she was rocking the craddle, she came with another solution. She doubted that he was all bad, she thought that maybe she could teach him to be good. She looked at little Andy, and begged for a smile.Quote
"..Will you please stop looking so worried?' She poked the tip of his nose. 'Do you know how to smile yet, Andy? Do you? Come on, little funny-eyes Andy, can you smile? Can you smile for Mommy?' She tapped the silver ornament and set it swinging. 'Come on Andy,' she said. 'One little smile. Come on, Andy-candy" (Levin 245).Reaction
WOAH! That's all I can say. The end of the story was so crazy. I mean I expecting some of it, but everything that she out together made the story fall into place. I wouldn't of guessed that Andy was Satan's son. But I guess that the quote is above is what the book is all about. The quote shows how much Rosemary really loves Andy, even though he's not "normal" and he was born to do bad things. She's determined to find the good in him and make him do good. That moment that she had with him is so precious, it made up for the 3 weeks that she didn't see him. A mother's love for her child to so big that it can do and conquer anything, and at the end Rosemary was thinking about killing him, but she knew that the love she had from him wouldn't let him be bad. It also paints a brighter picture, we should always look for the best in people. This book was so amazing. Can't wait to see the movie!

but, will there be any "good" in him?
this raises all kinds of moral questions: should Hitler's mother have done the same thing?
